September 12th Cricket Game

It is a beautiful morning in Australia as we are waking up at 8 and will be seeing a cricket game. The game starts at 2:45 so there is a little bit of time before. We went to breakfast at 7 which Dylan got the best dish, which was the  "Holly Eggs". That is eggs over sourdough bread with some ham sprinklings. It was really good and the coffee was outstanding. They put a foam heart in all of our coffees so we all felt the need to take out our phone and put it on our Snapchat story. We left the restaurant at about 9:45am and took our RV to the Coles supermarket about two blocks away and bought some groceries for the week. When we were in the store Mason tried all the samples and by the time we checked out it was eleven. We then went back to the RV parking and organized our leftovers and things each of us bought at the store. From there we needed more of an elegant lunch so went to Vue de Monde. the best dish there was by far Diego's kangaroo which was the most interesting and best thing Avery said he ever had.

With full bellies, we went straight to the cricket game. it was Australia versus England. This is a cricket game is played in which each team faces a fixed number of overs, usually 50 so the game is seven hour game with a 45-minute break in the middle. When we were at the arena temperature was 20 degrees but we came prepared with lots of clothes and snow gear even though it didn't snow. when the game starts Australia started with a large lead of 100-3 and Dylan looked pretty confident in our team because he told us he was just getting started

After halftime, the game went back to play with a rocky start. The other team got a few points under their belt. Its wasn’t enough to startle the team, but it was enough to startle Dylan. Right after the third point went in Dylan went berserk. He started yelling at the players saying they sucked and that his dog could play better (took till after the game to find out he didn’t own a dog). This shook our team and the Australian team got more and more points till and Dylan got louder and louder.

Diego and I were having a few drinks and were fine with it. Diego let Mason have a sip and got totally wasted afterwards from just one sip. The food was good but the Asian and Australian food mixing confused my taste buds as well as everyone else’s. We all had a good time and left with our hopes back after the massacre at the game.

Well almost all of us, because Mason after one sip was totally wasted and clearly could not see 5 feet in front of him. You could tell he was wasted because while he was walking kept tripping but never fell. But Dylan being the smart guy that he is hit the drunk person in the arm making Mason fall face first onto the curb.We all laughed except Mason who when we go back didn’t remember any of it. We all turned in for the night, exhilarated for the next day’s activities.
